The theme of the day was Don't you Forget about the Mohawks of Elmer L. Meyers.
High Jump Champion of the World-superstar athlete extraordinaire Ashlee Ward (pictured left) took home first place honors in the high jump and a third place in the discus. When asked to comment on the days events Ashlee responded in a text; "uhh idk lol, can't wait for next year :)" Well said. Me too.
Tess Sauer, Troy Lynn Lewis, Krystine Patterson, alternate Megan Horst and Jazma Robertson fought through some interesting adversity but produced a personal best in the 400 meter relay with a time of 54.65 .
As for the "crafty" Robert Waiters. He produced a personal best in his main event; the 300 m hurdles with a time of 45.36. When asked about his performance Robert had this to say.
Meyers is making its way back to the top. Hopefully next year we take a bus full of superstar student-athletes to the 84th Annual Shippensburg invitational.
